Jane and Ed's Butterfly Wedding!

The highlight of Jane's wedding were the gorgeous centerpieces. She collected all the containers and we filled them with candles and flowers in warm pastel tones.

The photographer Mark Helenese www.mhelenesephoto.com took some very beautiful pictures of the tables!

The wedding was held at La Escale in Greenwich, CT on the patio. The cocktail hour also took place on the patio right after the ceremony and we placed candles and tiny arrangements all around.

Her one Maid of Honor held a petite kissing ball for flowers

Jane wanted to have a fan made from flowers instead of the traditional bouquet.

The place card table had a large arrangement with branches and butterflies coming out.

The tables were all shades of pastel colors with matching butterflies placed throughout.

There was amber up lighting throughout the reception Hall which really added to the romantic look.

We also did a candy table with a Paris theme. They had a cotton candy machine brought in after the reception too. Jane and Ed were such a fun couple and so easy to work with we really enjoyed doing this wedding!

Fall Photo Shoot at The Lord Thompson Manor

We did a rather fun photo shoot for La Bella Bride Magazine this past Fall. We hope you enjoy looking at these photos! All the pictures were taken by Jocelyn Filley Photography. www.filleyphotography.com

We used a lot of locally grown garden flowers including Dahlias, Plume Coxcomb, Choleus Leaves, Hot Orange Roses and Green Hanging Amaranth.

We also used a lot of garden flowers in this white and green bouquet including White Hydrangea, Rex Bagonia leaves, Green Queen Anne's Lace, Sunflower Buds and Bitter sweet berries.

We really like using a lot of textures when we get a chance to. I think it really puts a nice twist on the classic white bouquet.

For the table we made Chocolate brown and Cream kissing balls which we tied to the chairs with Chocolate ribbon.

Each place setting had a Dahlia placed on the napkins.

Angela and Ken's Boston Harvard Club Wedding

Angela and Ken got married in Boston, Ma at the Boston Harvard Club. We had to arrive early in able to set everything up it was a lot!

The bouquets were delivered in a large tin. We used vibrant colors of pinks and burgundy. We tried to use a lot of garden flowers including Coxcomb, A variety of Roses, Dahlias, Orchids and Choc. Cosmos. I put a collar of Burgundy Kale around the base which looked really cool.

Angela's Bouquet was the same color as the girls but slightly larger and we put Callas in hers.

The Boys all had Callas with a touch of coxcomb and a spindle with burgundy ribbon. Angela ordered them specially for the Boutonnieres.

This is a nice picture of the Bridesmaids and the bouquets.

The reception looked so pretty I have included a lot of pictures of the centerpieces but even these photos don't do it justice.

The sweet heart table was decorated with votives and petals and Angela laid her bouquet on the table.

The pictures below are a few we took after we set everything up. The wedding was large and we wanted to make sure we captured everything we could.

This arrangement was made with Burgundy Amaranth Stalks and then we inserted Hot pink and Burgundy Feathers into the arrangement which was in an antique brass trumpet vase. It looked amazing in that room!

An overview of the room before all the guests arrived! All the tall tables were arranged on an antiqued pedestals of various sizes to give even more dimension.

The mantles were arranged with hanging Amaranth, Hydrangeas, Coxcomb, and a few roses. We put candles around in groupings and it looked really pretty later that evening because the room is so dark.

Kathleen and Davids Wedding

A small September wedding in the Berkshires with citrus tones.

We did a Green Celedon ribbon wrap on the vases and used a lot of votives wrapped in citrus toned fabric. We used Roses, Coxcomb, Dahlias, Hydrangeas and Zinneas. Linens were rented from Mahawie Tent rentals in Great Barrington, Ma.

Some of the tables had two smaller arrangements and larger votive holders.

The napkins were a slightly darker Green color which complimented the greenery in the arrangements.

All the tables were slightly different but still in the same color palette.

The Bouquets were very simple using Roses, Berries, Hydrangeas and Dahlias.

We put Potted Tree Hydrangeas with Lanterns around the entryways to give a summery feel.

The alter piece arrangements came out really lovely. We used Local Garden Green Branches and Tardiva Hydrangea, Amaranth, Large Garden Dahlias and a few Orange Spray Roses. The rustic urns really went well with these arrangements.

Branford House August 21st 2009

I love this picture of the cake! It was such a sweet cake, very tiny and cute but elegantly decorated too. Caitlin was very stylish and wanted a very elegant, rich look. Her wedding was at the Branford House on CT's Shoreline which is such a beautiful location.

We dropped off the Bouquets the morning of and met the photographer John LoConte http://www.johnlophoto.com who did a great job. The dresses were a baby blue short cocktail style and we opted to go for a darker bouquet in shades of fuschia, Burgundy, cranberry... We used a lot of garden flowers like Dahlias, Coxcomb Celosia, Stock and Garden Roses with touches of Chocolate Cosmos.

Some of the photos show the bouquets as being really dark but this one you can really tell there are a few pops of color.

The Ceremony was on the lawn outside overlooking the Ocean and it was a Hot day but the breeze was nice. We used Large urns that were a Charcoal grey color and we filled them with dark Cranberry and Burgundy Garden flowers to match the bouquets.

The aisle had buckets filled with the same flower types and attached to the chairs with ribbons. Lynda from Details http://www.detailsweddings.com who was the event planner moved them into the main house for cocktail hour.

I like the contrast of the light blue and darker bouquets which you can see better here.

The table linens were Dark Navy Blue and we chose a silver dish for a little bit of flash and filled them with the same flowers as the bouquets.

Jennifer and Charles Wedding August 8th 2009

Jennifer and Charles were very down to earth and very enjoyable to work with. Jennifer knew exactly what she wanted and we created these designs which were unique but fit into her vision perfectly.

The place card table consisted of different heights of vases with all one flower type which set the tone for a more modern look and feel.

Jennifer wanted a bouquet of all pinks and creams arranged in a bulls eye style. We used cream Callas, Pink roses, Hydrangea and Stephanotis with pink crystals.

The Church was very simple with a modern chuppah draped in cream fabric and hot pink wreaths adorning the aisles.

The Down town Hartford Marriott Hotel was the reception site and all the tables had pink overlays.

The tall centerpieces had crystal rocks in shades of pinks and clear placed in the bottom of the vase as well as some pink rose petals on the table. A hasta leaf was placed near the top where a lush cloud of White Hydrangea and Stock filled the mouth of the vase and coming out of the top were Green Dendrobium orchids, Bells of Ireland and Large white Callas.

The room really looked stunning when it was all put together!

Monika and Craig's Wedding June 14th 2009

Monika and Craig were such a wonderful couple to work with they really made my job fun and exciting! They got married in the garden at Elizabeth Park in Hartford so they opted for no flowers for the ceremony as there were roses in full bloom Everywhere!

The reception was at the pond house just a short walk away. The photographer was Carrie Draghi who did an amazing job as well.

Monika really wanted to have color in her bouquet so we did a lot of rich green colors as the base with bright purple and orange accents.

I used Green Cymbidium orchids, Trachillium, ladies mantle, purple lisianthus, purple stock and orange roses of various sizes.

Craig really wanted something unique and incorporating wire. We did a green dendrobium orchid with a touch of purple and some lisianthus buds and a green wire wrap on the stem.

Monika really wanted the flower girl to have some pink as that was her favorite color. We did a petite floral head wreath and a very petite clutch for her to hold too. She was so cute!

For the tables we opted to do three cylinder vases at varied heights with river rocks and a single orchid with a floating candle above. These were very cute but smaller in size so we also place some scattered rocks petals and flower heads to give more color and depth to the table.

This wedding was one of our first weddings the 2009 wedding season. We worked with Lynda from Details wedding planners. Our clients were Mary and Charles Bullock who lived out of state but were from Cheshire, CT.

This Beautiful photo of the Bride's Bouquet was taken by Gwyneth Colleen Photography! They wanted to use mostly Cream and Green Flowers with a touch of Blush pink accents. We used green Hydrangea, Trachillium and Cream Peonies,Roses. For the Blush color we used Sweet peas.

The flower girls were so happy to get a full sized bouquet!

I think Mary liked the Trachillium! It is really cool because it looks like moss.

The Brides maids Bouquets had just a little bit more pink color.

The reception took place at the Union League cafe in New Haven, CT. It was a really charming place and very nice for a smaller amount of guests. The centerpiece was in a rustic brown urn and filled with mostly cream and greens with a touch of dark plum color. We used Hydrangea, Roses, Spirea, Trachillium, Dogwood, Sweet peas and Hasta leaves.
